Last week ended on Public Employment Meeting.
There I've seen local authorities I didn't knonw, and some of them are recruiting in urban design, so I have a few curriculum to send this week!
Some authorities were hard to see, especially the Gers department (they turn off me when they see me arriving as they were having a break) and the city of Paris where I was with a double-caricature : both the disdainful Parisian as they no more existing and self-complacencing old-student from ''Great Schools'': ''No, we only recruit in our own-school, as we have our own-school we don't recruit out of it''... I'm sure that the professors in the school have been students in the school and this is like The Crimson Rivers: the students becoming professors and mariing other students becomed professors and more than intellectual consanguinuity they were in physical consanguinuity. Edifying.
It was amazing to see some stands where (certainly to mutualise the costs) were several institutions (which is a good idea). For example the same space was for the city of Lille, the agglomeration of Lille, the North Department. Other example with the city of Grenoble, the agglomeration of Grenoble, the agglomeration of Voiron (near of Grenoble), the Isère Department and the Public Employment Management. There is a table per institution, but you need to be behind the person to read her badge and to know which institution she represent. So you can have to go from table to table before to have the right person!
The first time is surprising but when you know it you just think about a visual mark to differenciate them.
It was a good trip, with good speaks and a little bit of motivation about the market.
Maybe one disappoitment with a ''coachong'' workshop where there were more than 40 persons waiting for a councillor (except during the lunch break... when no councillor was present). Too much successfull, too much people, a train which won't wait for me, you guess I'ld like to try it (it was a exercise I was demanding for in the Employment Agency when they were working on my case without having it) but I'm gone. And I have to prepare myself for the next meetings!
