Project 52 - 48/52: Mullca Bench

You have to know the Mullca chair? The chair with wooden seat and back on metal tubes used in schools, libraries, city hall... Mullca never proposed a bench then here is my hommage to Gaston Cavaillon's chair with mine:

The idea is simple: to combine two front feet and seats. Well, for an industrial production it would be 2 bended tubes (one on each side) and one laminate piece (to cover the entire lenght) but the question here is to have fun with the references so I made mine from 2 chairs recovered from a dumpster.

It's amazing that the chair has'nt change since 1950, so much that the company gone to bankrupt in 1996 (unbreakable so rarely changed, and not evolued with the children morphology). Production is now continued by the company Lafa.
