Strike!

Today is a strike day (with the urban walk) to preserve the solidaritarian retirement pensions system existing in France for more the 60 years.

Let's hear a broadcast from french radio which proposes another vision of this pensions system by questioning the usual arguments of the government and the big employers: there is no deficit (neither for the social assurance nor the pensions) ; if (as explains government) we managed to pass from 4 employees for 1 retired in 1960 to 2 for 1 in 2010 we will have no difficulty to ba 1 for 1 in 2050 ; the slowing down of the salaries [in the benefits of the dividends for the shareholders?] is the real reason that burdens the budget for pensions ; and soon.

My first question is why since 1993 we are told that the reform is necessary and the only chance to save the system but every 4 years we see a new reform? If it was necessary and able of saving the system it would not need to have a new one…
My second question is why this system was working during an economical period harder than today but could not work today ?
Or maybe all this reform is only anout pure ideology?
