Volkswagen made a huge part of its success because the Beetle and the Type-3 were well sold in USA. Renault was selling the Dauphine so of course they wanted to sell the Estafette.
The adaptated to the US norms like the larger head lights (and maybe a higher voltage).
The Dauphine failed more fastly than it had succed and I'm not sure the adaptation were enough for the regulations, I've always though that the Estafette never been certificated.
Therefore you can find some of them in different parts of the US, here are "ruins" in Colorado and Texas.
The weather may conserved these better than their french cousines.
