This pandemy has a few advantages: world production and pollution are getting down, there is soap in my school toilets and it seems that a lot of people are now aware about how to wash their hands (I've read that we have the lowest rate of gastroenteritis in years because of that) and now people do know what teachrs have to survive to manage their children all the day long!
Do you success to tele-work with your children at home?
Neither do I! And I don't even have children at home, not even the students as they are at home, at their home not in mine, and that's yet so complicated. Poor teachers with students by web AND children at home, with one computer at home... and someone else who also have to work at home!
I pay tribute to every person working during this period, yes every person, except the government who is aberrating [yes I invent words] all the day long like when they want people to work in sectors which are already in a low degree of sanitation while confinement is the one rule to prevent the spread of the virus. Like when they decide to end the free choice of hollidays and the working time limit therefore they should help the health services... Rhaaa I knew I sould not speak about them, let's talk about me, this is my blog about myself!

Let's talk about me and my students!
Mine are not good workers, when I give them an evaluated exercice during class time some of them don't care. So let's imagine how serious they are at home!
They think they are free so they sleep late and sometimes start to work in the afternoon. Not all of them: some will connect at 8am, some others at 8pm, some others will not but I can't manage that (I only can tell it to the administration).
For example my usual wednesday starts with a lesson from 8 to 9, and an other from 10 to 12. I eat fastly and I stay in my classroom (preparation, corrections, messages, appreciations...) until 4pm. I come back home walking to destress and my day is off.
Last wednesday was the first day of the quarantine, I was in front of my computer at 8 and I received messages til the night!
Now this is the second week in confinment and I performed my own organization: the exercizes are inline before and stay 2 days after the lesson day and I answer questions only during my usual working time.
Of course not everything went so easily but that's better.
We also have to look at who is connected or not, who is working or not.
We had no explanations on how to do that.
I'm discovering the job and its peripherical skills like the ENT (Numerical Working Environment) with a low quality ergonomic (they may not added a designer to the development team) and with limits (sometimes it's satured so not all the files are available or the page doesn't save what you've done in it).
I should write the ENTs as we have one for the school and one for the Academic, the second one has more hard times (impossible to connect or disconnection or error on simple tasks).
I'm a beginner but I can see I'm not the only one in trouble. So the Academix delegation started online MOOC for teachers... the first one was this mornin, in the middle of the second week!
Okay, thanks, that's great, but now I've found by myslef how to do, my way is not perfect but it will fit for this extraordinary period.
In resume, I'm working from home, it's complicated, but some say I love my job!
